Refund Policy
This policy sets out the withdrawal and refund rules for Ruen's paid plans. Effective date: 2026-10-08
1. Seller and governing rules
The seller is Hairgraphy, and payments are processed through PortOne · KG Inicis. This policy and the applicable laws of Korea, including the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, apply.
2. Product classification
Ruen's paid plans (Ruen Basic, Ruen Plus) are digital content (a recurring software subscription) that provides the paid features of a Windows desktop app each month. As soon as payment is complete, the plan is applied to the Ruen account that paid and can be used in the app right away. Use starts when you first use a paid feature in the app after payment.
3. Withdrawal
- You can withdraw within 7 days of receiving the written terms of the contract. If supply starts later, the 7 days count from the day supply started. Where the written terms were not provided, the seller's address was missing or changed, or withdrawal was obstructed, the separate starting points of Article 17(1)(2)–(3) of the Act apply.
- Even within 7 days of payment, once you start using paid features in the app, the supply of digital content has begun and withdrawal is limited. Before you start using them, you can withdraw within 7 days. We show this on the pricing page and the payment screen and ask you to confirm it before payment. (Article 17(2)(5) and (6) of the Act)
- If what you received differs from what was shown or advertised, or the contract was performed differently, you can withdraw within 3 months of supply, and within 30 days of the day you knew or could have known it. (Article 17(3) of the Act)
4. Cancellation and price changes
- Subscriptions are charged automatically on the billing date each month until you cancel.
- If we give a free pass (for example a closed beta reward): We notify you in the app starting 30 days before the pass ends, and automatic billing starts only if you agree in the app to switch to a paid plan. If you do not agree, only the free period ends. For users who already have a paid subscription, the deferred billing resumes under the existing contract.
- Cancel through customer support (email [email protected] · phone +82-10-9203-0278). Uninstalling the app or deleting data on your PC does not cancel a paid subscription. After you cancel, you are not charged from the next billing date and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Withdrawing a required consent ends the service contract. To stop renewal, you must also cancel the subscription as described in item 3.
- Cancelling stops the next payment only. You can use the period already paid until it ends, and it is not refunded. The exceptions are a withdrawal under section 3, and a pro-rata refund for any period we could not provide the service through our fault.
- For consumers in Korea, a price increase on a subscription or a switch from free use to a paid subscription applies only with your prior consent, obtained within the legal period, to the date, the old and new price and the payment method. We also explain the cancellation terms, method and effect, and we never charge a changed amount to anyone who did not agree.
5. How refunds are made
- Request a withdrawal or refund through customer support (email [email protected] · phone +82-10-9203-0278).
- Within 3 business days of receiving a withdrawal, we refund the payment or, for card payments, ask the card company to cancel it. (Article 18 of the Act)
- Paid features of a withdrawn subscription stop when the refund is made.
